Understanding the nature of these first vital years of your child's life means that we do not push academics in our 3 and 4 year old classrooms where children have much more vital developmental skills to master. It means your child will not bring home reproduced worksheets displaying copycat attempt to "write" or "do numbers." You will find instead examples of painting, cutting, coloring, drawing and yes, even sometimes, "writing." But all materials will be generated out of the child's interests, not because he was pushed into areas that he wasn't ready to attempt.
